Tyranny of the Muse

My passion project. A ten-year labor of love.

I created, wrote, and self-published this thing and I’m so proud of it.

It’s a graphic novel about creativity, addiction, and existential dread.

Illustrated by Dave Chisholm.

"My name is Frank Fisher. I’m addicted to inspiration. Literally. Bonnie injects it into my brain through a festering wound in my head. She's my muse. My dealer.

I can’t stop writing a screenplay about a boy named Dusty. I don’t know why. I don’t know what it means. But I have to finish it. I need to. And I need Bonnie to help me. I need her to help me do something. Feel something. Be something.

Because without Bonnie… I am nothing."

TYRANNY OF THE MUSE by creator/writer Eddie Wright (A Broken Everything, Regular Show) and illustrator Dave Chisholm (Chasin’ the Bird, Enter the Blue) is the darkly hilarious, emotionally messy, and oddly sweet story about a troubled artist, a reluctant muse, and the inescapable influence of the past.
