An artist’s rendering of my creative process.

SHORT STORY

I write books, copy, comics, and scripts.

LONG STORY

I started my creative life playing in bands in the NJ punk scene and bring that scrappy, DIY spirit to everything I do.

I used to be a video editor, but always wanted to write, so I figured out how to pivot by writing a whole damn book.

The result was Broken Bulbs, an odd, little sci-fi-ish thing about a dude who gets addicted the seeds of inspiration that get injected directly into his brain.

Rather than go the traditional route, I decided to DIY that shit and self-publish.

But that required learning. Lots of it. I had to figure out how to not only write a book, but design it, lay it out, get it printed, build a site for it, and promote it. And I did it. And it was a lot. But it was cool. And I’m happy about it.

And then the damnest thing happened, people read the book. And they liked it. And then people hired me to write other things. And it was like a whole thing.

And now, I’m a professional writer. Crazy.

I’ve since worked on other books, comics, blogs, and scripts, interviewed all kinds of famous folks, and provided creative direction—all for clients like MTV, CBS, BOOM! Studios, Redbubble, Tempur-Pedic, FritoLay, ID Discovery, and others.

I’ve written commercials, podcast ads, stories for the Regular Show comic series, an episode of the true crime television show Evil Lives Here, interviewed Stan Lee, wrote a bunch of medical advice articles (don’t ask), got yelled at by a guy from Star Trek: TNG (don’t ask either), and did other stuff too.

It’s been weird.

My recent projects are the graphic novel Tyranny of the Muse, my newsletter Slamming Doors, the absurdist novel A Broken Everything, and writing copy for several clients.

I’m available to write stuff for/with you. Hit me up by clicking the thing under these words.
