I really can’t say enough good things about these books, you should pick up copies and see for yourselves. The riso’d interiors in Thickness are grimy and beautiful, each story is printed in a different color. Content ranges from explicitly sweet (LOVE IT ZE) to bizarre and abstract (DMB always) to outright filthy and unsettling (I’m lookin at you, Jonny). Erotic comics are making a serious comeback and this one’s at the top of the pile. Smut executed with class.
Demon God Goblin Heaven is a nightmarish cartoon hallucination that threatens to burst from the pages. The inks have this vibrating, restless quality that injects each character with terrifying life. Jesse and Jonny are both skilled artists—I’ve seen enough of their illustrations to understand the precision and discipline behind each piece…but this comic feels different. DGGH is raw as fuck. Feels like these guys are cutting loose with their talent and heading for uncharted territory. Absolutely can’t wait for the next issue, dudes.
