Hi.
Happy New Year.
This blog is now: http://eddie-wright.com/
This is an example of one of Jesse’s 9×12 pieces that one of our Tyranny Kickstarter backers will receive:
Nifty, right?
Stay tuned for more.
2012 will be good. Expect more from this blog.
We’ll talk soon.
This Amazon reviewer hates Broken Bulbs but gets it and hates it more because he/she gets it but doesn’t realize that he/she gets it.
Getting it is bad?
Fine with me.
ARRRGGHHHH! Calgon, take me away… God, I felt like I needed to take a bath after this one. Maddeningly written in a broken style which, if meant to convey what goes on in the mind of an addict or crazy person, certainly communicates that thought process successfully. I really thought this book had promise when I read the description and, as with all the books I review, I read it until the bitter end, but I had hoped for something unique and different. I wasn’t expecting, and did not enjoy, all-out crazy. This book is like sitting on the seat in an overly-filled outhouse and having said seat give way, unexpectedly dumping you into the sewage. It IS “unique and different”…but not something you really want or need to experience. The glowing reviews this book has garnered confused and amazed me until I remembered that there are people who will pay good money (and lots of it) for paint splattered on a canvas with the aid of jet blast. Different strokes for different folks. In any event, if you like your books disjointed, harsh, confusing, difficult to read, poisonous, and agonizingly descriptive…GOOD NEWS!!!–Your ship just came in. By the way, in my opinion, his girlfriend Bonnie isn’t his dealer, she IS his “drug”, his addiction, and what is metaphoric about this book is that he must have more and more of her to remain viable. If I got that wrong or misinterpreted the author’s intentions, who’s to blame??? The book was so difficult to get through that by the end I felt like I needed drugs just to get back to reality.
Probably shouldn’t obsess over reviews. But I do. What do you want from me?
Well the Kickstarter was a success and that was gloriously awesome!
Now we’ve got a buttload of work to do.
I’m writing a ton of short stories. Jesse is sketching a ton of sketches.
In 2012 you guys will see a bunch of stuff from me. Such as:
Tyranny of the Muse Vol. 1
A new edition of Broken Bulbs
A new novel
A collection of Frank and Bonnie stories
Another comic project
And we’ll see what else!
I’m not sure what’s happening with this blog right now as I said, I suck at updating it.
For all things me, the best places to go are:

From an Amazon reader’s review of BROKEN BULBS:
This book reads more like poetry with incomplete sentences, broken train of thought and random jumps in the time line. Supposedly delving into the mind of an addict, good luck trying to figure out what is really going on. Definitely Not for everyone.
Works for me.
Holy hell, an update!
I’ve been neglecting this joint. Sorry about that.
Been working on the Tyranny of the Muse comic.
Been working on the new book.
Been working on a new site.
Been working at work. Dayjob!
I tumble sometimes.
I tweet sometimes.
Mostly I just watch TV.
But there are things happening and things coming and things that will be good things.
But for the most up-to-dateness stuff follow along with the Tyranny of the Muse comic Tumblr.
Also, please LIKE Tyranny on the Facebook. That would be nice of you.
Thanks.
Talk soon.
We’ve got a new Jesse Balmer sketch for you, kids! It’s our first look at Bonnie’s “Seed Applicator” and the mysterious HAMSTER!
